FundedByMe, based in Sweden, has published a review of successful Nordic equity crowdfunding campaigns. FundedByMe provides a portfolio of services for companies raising capital including debt, equity and rewards based crowdfunding. The platform has successfully funded around 500 companies from 25 different countries so they have taken this experience and packaged it in a document highlighting certain campaign correlations.
Not surprising the authors state;
“Our findings tell us that social media, high quality financial documents and the right background of team members seem to be crucial for achieving a funding goal of a company.”
The publication, embedded below, is based on cases that have been live on the site since 2012. The authors, Alina Kouton and Michael Gromek, focus on certain actions and characteristics of a funding round that are indicative in generating success. Outcome was measured using a regression analysis.
