Peer to peer lending platform Zopa has just updated Crowdfund Insider about their platform growth.
According to Zopa, September is shaping up to be a stellar month. The P2P lender expects to top £60 million in loan originations beating all prior months. Zopa is the first UK platform to have topped the £1 billion threshold, of course in coming months other sites will follow.
Referencing data derived from AltFi, Zopa points out they remain the number one peer lender in the country. Presently, the top three, in cumulative totals, are as folows:
- Zopa £1.063 billion
- Funding Circle £827 million
- RateSetter £793 million
Year to date figures show a more competitive race but Zopa still leads the pack:
- Zopa £359 million
- Funding Circle £351 million
- RateSetter £349
Year over year growth across most all platforms remains impressive.
