The European Crowdfunding Network (ECN) has published its final agenda for its annual gathering which is scheduled to take place in Paris later this month. The 4th annual conference that connects crowdfunding platforms and Fintech entrepreneurs from across all of Europe will see speakers like Steven Maijoor, Chair of ESMA, and Jean-Christophe Fromantin, a member of French Parliament, address the influential group.
Topics include the EU Capital Markets Union (CMU) initiative and its impact on both debt and equity markets. The CMU strategy, as outlined in Brussels, notes online financde as a vital sector in boosting the pan-European economy.
The ECN has said it will bring for the first time together different national regulators, including the French Authorité des Marches Financiers (AMF), the Italian Securities and Exchange Commission (CONSOB), the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin, TBC) and the Austrian Ministry of Economy, to discuss crowdfunding within the Capital Markets Union. ECN has always worked closely with the Commission to promote a positive framework for crowdfunding in Europe. The Crowdfunding Convention will be an opportunity to discuss in depth this decision and explore different scenarios directly with the relevant national and European policymakers and stakeholders.
The ECN Crowdfunding Convention has been created as the reference event for the European crowdfunding industry.
