Brief: “Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland” Announces World Premiere Date

blue-mountain-state-the-movie-posterWith less than a week until Blue Mountain State: The Rise of  Thadland set to be released (February 2nd), it was announced that the highly anticipated film’s world premiere will take place in Los Angeles this Sunday (January 31st).

Blue Mountain StateEric Falconer, the creator of the popular television series, launched a crowdfunding campaign in early 2014 to help finance its feature-length film. The project closed on Kickstarter at over $1.9 million in funding with the backing of 23,999 committed fans.

The film’s synopsis reads:

“With Blue Mountain State football star Thad Castle (Alan Ritchson) recently signing a multi-million dollar NFL contract, his teammates and college life seem like a distant memory.  However, when a new school dean threatens to clean up the BMS image by auctioning off the infamous Goat House, Alex, Sammy and the boys must find a way to convince Thad to get involved.  Despite his new fortune and fame, there is one small requirement before Thad agrees to save the day: The Goat House must throw the biggest, most epic booze-and-sloot fest in BMS history.  Welcome to Thadland!”

Blue Mountain State: The Rise of  Thadland, which was directed be Lev L. Spiro, will star familiar faces of the franchise Darin Brooks, Alan Ritchson, and Chris Romano.
