Earlier this month, media company Hidden Tears Project launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise funds for the film, Daddy Issues. The Hidden Tears Project is notably dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help end human trafficking in America.
“Daddy Issues tells the story of a young girl who is trapped as a sex slave until she meets a man who is just as lonely as she is. Daddy Issues is the next film in a short form TV series created by the Hidden Tears Project to spark mainstream awareness about sex trafficking and organ harvesting of American children.”
Others who have joined Raymund in the cause include House of Cards’ Sam Forman, along with Chicago Fire’s Eamonn Walker and Christian Stolte. Funds from the campaign will be used for the following:
- Principle Photography: $15,100
- Post Production: $5,000
- Administration Cost: $4,900
Noting the impact that Daddy Issues will have on the cause, the Hidden Tears team noted:
“Although this is a deeply delicate, personal and emotional issue, we know that by presenting highly entertaining, inspiring, and innovative content to our audiences, it will encourage people to see human trafficking as an undeniable reality that can only be resolved with the power of many.”
The campaign is set to close at the end of February. The project is under flexible funding and will receive funds even if it does not reach its funding goal. Daddy Issues will be filmed on location in Chicago February 27th & 28th.
