SOUNDBOKS got the party started after overfunding within three hours of its Kickstarter campaign launch. At this writing, the campaign has exceeded $133K with the help of over 278 backers for its loudest outdoor speaker on the market. Readers, please keep this product on the down low from my neighbors! The Y Combinator alums turned to the global Kickstarter crowd today to ensure that festival and music lovers “have the opportunity to party together everywhere and overtime.” Its “up to 30 hours of long lasting” LiFePO4 battery system plays through “freezing winters and burning summers” and charges within 3 hours, so the party never stops. SOUNDBOKS’ design requires no special care or diligance. Bluetooth or AUX-in connectivity connects SOUNDBOKS to smartphones or professional DJ mixers.
“We never found speakers that were powerful and robust enough for partying in extreme outdoor conditions with battery-packs that last minimum one night – so we decided to make our own,” shared Jesper Thomsen.
SOUNDBOKS linked with renowned Johnny Engberg, known in the online open-source audio community as “Saturnus” for its unique acoustics and amplifier.
