High Fashion Meets Crowdfunding: Susie Cave’s Line “The Vampire’s Life” Seeks £150,000 Through Seedrs

The Vampire’s Wife, a UK high fashion brand, has recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise £150,000 with 14.20% of equity offered for continuous expansion of its line.

The Vampire's Wife 1The Vampire’s Wife is described as a new fashion brand that creates high quality, elegant, original, clothing that’s in vibrant colors. The designs are inspired by Susie Cave, who is a former muse of designers Vivienne Westwood and Bella Freud. The brand has been worn by some of biggest celebrities including Daisy Lowe, Cate Blanchett, and Charlotte Olympia.

The company shared:

“Manufactured in England and Poland we will sell online and in selected stores introducing new styles monthly. Utilising the global footprint of Susie Cave’s husband, musician Nick Cave, Susie’s own profile and the legion of people who support them both, we will market via social media and a major worldwide press campaign in September 2016.”

Last spring, Cave revealed details about the brand to The Guardian and explained that all fabrics come from England. Prices are described as “around Westwood Red Label” (that means around £300 to £800 to anyone else).

Susie CaveWhile explaining the name of the line’s title, Cave commented:

“I love the name because it means whatever you want it to mean and has a certain tongue-in-cheek quality when you see the collection. I have always worn summer dresses all year round.”

Also discussing her previously work:

“I was always obsessed with clothes and making things. When skintight jeans came in, I altered my friends’ flares and got into trouble with everyone’s parents.”

The Vampire’s Wife campaign has already secured £100,000.
