Following the devastating terrorist attack on Brussels on Tuesday morning, GoFundMe announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to help the victims.

According to various reports, the attacks occurred at Brussels Zaventem Airport and the Maelbeek metro station, killing at least 34 people. Terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Speaking about the situation, GoFundMe CEO, Rob Solomon, stated:

Rob Solomon“Our giving community has always been quick to leap into action when tragedy strikes anywhere in the world. We’re already receiving inquiries from our community about what they can do to help the victims of the horrendous terrorist attacks that took place in Brussels this morning. We started this GoFundMe campaign to quickly channel all of the outpouring of online support for the victims and their families. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at GoFundMe go out to the people of Belgium, the victims of this terrible act and their families.”

GoFundMe is donating all of its fees and contributing $25,000 for the cause. The platform revealed that once an official charity for the victims has been established, it will transfer all funds there.

The portal added:

gofundme“The GoFundMe giving community of more than 20 million people has always been quick to leap into action when tragedy strikes in America, or around the world. We’re already receiving inquiries from our community about what they can do to help the victims of the horrendous terrorist attacks that took place in Brussels this morning. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these senseless acts of violence, and we are standing with you in solidarity.  #PrayForBrussels”
