CONSORTIUM: The Tower is described as a single-player, first-person sci-fi simulation built upon the Unreal 4 Engine. Its story reads:
“Set in the hyper-futuristic Churchill Tower, an immense skyscraper in the heart of London, CONSORTIUM: The Towerbegins on December 21, 2042 in an alternate dimension on the brink of world peace. The Tower expands on all of the core mechanics, interface systems, gear and dynamic fourth-wall-shattering concepts that made the original CONSORTIUM a hit. What should have been a straightforward mission to rescue civilian hostages from terrorists turns into a global debacle involving a deeply rooted conspiracy, and the player-controlled Consortium Officer Bishop Six will be forced to question allegiances and the morality of meddling beyond the bounds of existence.”
“We’re thrilled to see such major headway right out of the gates for the next entry in the CONSORTIUM trilogy. Fig backers have shown more support in one day than in a month on Kickstarter.”
Founder and CEO of Fig, Justin Bailey, commented:
“We’ve been blown away by the outpouring of support. It just goes to show that when you give players an opportunity to support the games they are passionate about, they further empower the innovative spirit of creators like Greg which makes games like CONSORTIUM: The Tower a possibility.”
Funds from the campaign will be used to develop and publish CONSORTIUM: The Tower. The campaign is set to close at the beginning of May.
