Success: “CONSORTIUM: THE TOWER” Secures $300,000 in Six Days on Fig

Less than a week after launching its highly anticipated crowdfunding campaign on FigInterdimensional Games has successfully secured the initial $300,000 goal for its upcoming game, CONSORTIUM: THE TOWER.

Consortium 3CONSORTIUM: The Tower is described as  a single-player, first-person sci-fi simulation built upon the Unreal 4 Engine. Its story reads:

“Set in the hyper-futuristic Churchill Tower, an immense skyscraper in the heart of London, CONSORTIUM: The Towerbegins on December 21, 2042 in an alternate dimension on the brink of world peace. The Tower expands on all of the core mechanics, interface systems, gear and dynamic fourth-wall-shattering concepts that made the original CONSORTIUM a hit. What should have been a straightforward mission to rescue civilian hostages from terrorists turns into a global debacle involving a deeply rooted conspiracy, and the player-controlled Consortium Officer Bishop Six will be forced to question allegiances and the morality of meddling beyond the bounds of existence.”

Consortium 2Sharing his appreciation for the fans that backed the project, CEO of Interdimensional Games, Gregory MacMartin, stated:

“Getting this volume of support in such a short time has been truly humbling, and it’s clear that fans are as excited about the next game in the CONSORTIUM trilogy as we are. We’re striving to deliver the twisting, immersive game that fans desire, and can provide even more content through our upcoming stretch goals.”

Justin Bailey, Founder and CEO of Fig, added:

“It’s great to add another successful campaign to our roster, and help ensure that innovative titles like The Tower will make it to launch. Even better, over two thirds of backers have chosen to support the game through investment reservations, thereby reserving a stake in the potential financial success of the title, in addition to any pledges of rewards they may have made.”

The first stretch goal, at the $350,000 milestone, will introduce “Equipment Engineering,” which allows players to upgrade their Personal Containment Unit (P.C.U.) in The Tower to recycle materials and combine them to upgrade their equipment. Additional stretch goals will be revealed at a later date.

The campaign is set to close early May.
