Touchjet, a company that creates interactive Android touch technology on a large and portable scale, has been announced as a Gold Edison Award winner. The Edison Awards is notably inspired by Thomas Edison’s persistence and inventiveness, honors the most innovative, creative and ingenious products and business leaders in the world.
The award reportedly recognizes Touchjet for the design of its Pond Projector. The device turns any flat surface (wall, ceiling, floor) into an interactive Android touchscreen up to 80″ so families, professionals and educators can display and interact with any of the hundreds of thousands of Android apps on a large touchscreen.
Helen Thomas, CEO of Touchjet, stated:
“Much like Thomas Edison, we are trying to create products that have a real value in society and satisfy an existing need—our goal is to open the door to shared experiences that are not currently available. Touchjet was founded to create devices that change how we think about interacting with each other and the world around us.”
The ballot of nominees for the Edison Awards was judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading business executives including past award winners, academics and leaders in the fields of product development, design, engineering, science and medical. Touchjet successfully secured thousands of dollars through Indiegogo for various projects.
