Less than six months after it was acquired by mega brewer AB InBev, Crowdcube success Camden Town Brewery announced details about its second North London location.
Camden Town Brewery revealed that it has signed a lease for a facility in Enfield, which will be open next year. The site is 57,000s square feet and will employ up to 70 people over the next two years.
Founder of Camden Town Brewery, Jasper Cuppaidge, stated:
“The exciting events of last year have given us a great opportunity to transform Camden Town Brewery from an outstanding London brewery to a world famous one. With the support of AB InBev and this new addition to our family, Enfield will not only keep all our brewing close to home in North London, but also enable us to make more great beers.”
Camden Town, launched in 2010, now employs over 95 people and sold 12 million pints in 2015. The beer is available in more than 1000 pubs and is distributed around the world. The company ran a successful crowdfunding round on Crowdcube raising £2.8 million from over 2200 investors recently. The initial pitch was to raise £1.5 million for a 3% equity stake.
