On Thursday, equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube announced the upcoming launch of its iOS app. The website revealed:
- Receive notifications and will be the first to know about new investment opportunities that launch on the crowdfunding portal.
- Will be able to view business pitches while on the move.
- Receive latest updates by following businesses.
- Users will be able to invest quickly and easily without having to be online.
“We’re looking for iOS users who enjoy using Crowdcube and are willing to provide feedback on their experience when using the app to browse and make investments.”
Space is currently limited for the preview program, and those interested can apply here. Those who are selected will be notified in the upcoming weeks. Unfortunately, Crowdcube has yet to reveal if or when an Android app will be available for users.
Meanwhile, other crowdfunding platforms have also launched apps, including reward-based portals, Indiegogo, and Kickstarter. Most recently, investment crowdfunding platform OurCrowd has announced its very own “social investor app,” which is described as a “significant expansion” of its equity crowdfunding site. The new app enables registered investors the ability to commit from $10,000 to $10 million on their smartphone.
The app is said to feature deep dive info on listed offers within private and secure virtual deal rooms. Interested individuals may share, discuss and review opinions on deals. Real-time updates are available so individuals can receive push notifications on deal updates.
