Last month, Indiegogo announced it had formed a new partnership with Newegg. The tech-focused e-retailer is now set to offer order fulfillment and promotional support to select campaigns on the crowdfunding platform.
David Mandelbrot, CEO of Indiegogo, previously stated:
“We’re thrilled to partner with Newegg to provide access to retail for Indiegogo campaigners. Newegg’s massive distribution platform and streamlined fulfillment services provide the added visibility and support necessary to help Indiegogo’s community of tech entrepreneurs as they journey through the product lifecycle from concept to market.”
Danny Lee, Newegg CEO, commented:
“Indiegogo is a community filled with entrepreneurs eager to turn their dreams into reality. This entrepreneurial spirit is part of Newegg’s DNA and we’re happy to join forces with Indiegogo to drive success for these innovators.”
Now, nearly two months later, Indiegogo is ready to share details about the new collaboration. The global funding portal revealed qualified campaigns would receive discounted introductory commission fee for 9%, six months of free storage with Shipped by Newegg, an upgraded seller page, preferred placement on Newegg’s platform and a newsletter. The website noted other benefits:
- Limited-time exclusive commission fee through the Indiegogo partnership
- Dedicated Account Support
- Customer Service & Fraud Protection
- Seller Store
- Email Campaign Exposure
- Access to other Marketing Opportunities
Campaigns must hit their funding goal and then apple here to receive the special benefits. The Indiegogo team also noted the ideal campaigns for the program would be for products that have a strong tech aspect in gaming, home improvement, health, sports, and home living.
