Pontus Frohde Set to Step Down as FundedByMe’s COO

On Monday, international investment crowdfunding platform FundedByMe announced Pontus Frohde has decided to step down from his position as COO to pursue other career opportunities. Frohde first joined the funding platform’s team in April 2013 and will remain active within the company until the end of November 2016.

Pontus FrohdeSharing details about his decision, Frohde stated:

“The decision to say goodbye to FundedByMe was not an easy one, but it’s time for me to focus on the next phase of my career.”

CEO and co-founder of FundedByMe, Daniel Daboczy, added:

“Pontus has been an integral part in building the FundedByMe business model and setting the tone for who we are as a company. We wish him only the very best on his next venture.”

Daboczy will be taking over all operational responsibility. Frohde plans to stay on in the fintech industry but has yet to reveal what his next move will be. 

The news of Frohde’s resignation comes just over a month after FundedByMe closed its recent self-running crowdfunding campaign, which secured SEK 10.9 million from 376 investors. This was FundedByMe’s third self-crowdfunding round. The first was launched in 2012, and the website raised SEK 4.4 million in capital. In March of 2014, the funding portal went back to investors and captured an additional SEK 6.4 million. FundedByMe has funded over 440 companies from 25 different countries to date.  The investment crowdfunding platform claims 68,900 investors from over 178 countries
