Kimbia, the single-day crowdfunding event platform for nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions, announced on Friday it has appointed Mark Perkins as its new CEO. Prior to assuming his new role at Kimbia, Perkins assumed leadership roles at various companies, including Tenure Holdings and Leasing Group and Dell.
Sharing details about his new role, Perkins stated:
“I am honored to have been elected Kimbia’s CEO because of the opportunity to help lead the company to position itself for greater growth while leveraging the gifts, industry expertise and talents of this team.”
Brian R. Smith, Kimbia board member and Managing Director of S3 Ventures, Kimbia’s lead investment firm, added:
“We are confident in the growth opportunity with Mark and the continued success of Kimbia and its ability to serve the needs of nonprofits and their missions. We believe Mark is the right leader to get us there.”
Kimbia notably enhances donor relationships for nonprofits, universities, and community foundations by helping them engage new donors and increase total donations through every day giving, peer-to-peer fundraising and crowdfunding events. Kimbia has supported more than 25,000 organizations to date, which includes the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Columbia University, Communities Foundation of Texas, GiveMN and The Miami Foundation.
