Hello, a hardware, software, and data science company, announced on Tuesday its Kickstarter project, Sense, will be available at Target and Best Buy later this year. The device contains a speaker, so it may play white noise or similar sounds such as pink noise or calming rain. The speaker is used to play the Sense’s Smart Alarm, which wakes the user up at the right point in their sleeping cycle.
- Sense, a device that sits on any nightstand, monitors conditions and disturbances that go on throughout the night.
- Sleep Pill, a small but sensitive sleep tracking senor that clips invisibly to the pillow. There is nothing to remember to charge or plug in; it lasts for a whole year.
- Mobile apps that tell how well the user sleeps or didn’t, by giving a “Sleep Score” each night.
Originally seeking only $100,000, Hello’s Sense secured over the initial goal and captured over $1 million within a few days. The project took home $2,410,741 from 19,349 backers. James Proud, CEO of Hello, stated the company is pleased to be partnering with Best Buy and Target. This collaboration is notably a further step towards his team’s goal of giving everyone a better night’s sleep.
Sense is currently available through Target.com and ships throughout the U.S. through both Hello’s website and Amazon. It is also available for international shipping in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the UK through Hello’s website. The device is priced at $129 and was delivered to backers last year.
