Comic Relief: “This Is Fine” Plush Dog to Finish Kickstarter Run With Over $450,000

This is Fine Plush Dog Kickstarter is set to finish its crowdfunding run with over $450,000 thanks to nearly 12,700 backers. The campaign was launched by the Gunshow webcomic creator KC Green, who was seeking only $35,000 for the toy’s creation. The project surpassed its initial goal and raised over $300,000 within the first week on the funding platform.

This is FineGreen previously stated:

“From my old webcomic Gunshow, this dark horse of a comic rose into prominent usage among the college testing crowd and grew from there. Normally the first two panels are only seen. Brevity is the soul of wit, after all! But it continued to seep into the consciousness of America and the world as things seemingly just got… worse. I, for one, hope there’ll be a day when we no longer have to look for the dog on fire to support our feelings, but until that day comes, maybe a nice big plush of the boy will help.”

The plush dog is currently available for $25 through the campaign and comes with a brown hat along with a coffee cup that of course reads “This is Fine.” Backers can also purchase a small stand/platform called Play Pak for an additional $10. This stand showcases the dog’s usual burning house background. Green recently announced the Brevity would be featured in Spooky Squid Games’ RUSSIAN SUBWAY DOGS. The game is about real Russian who use the subway. The Spooky Squid Game crew has also launched a Kickstarter for the game.

This is Fine’s campaign is set to close later today.
