BrewDog, “the fastest-growing food and drinks producer in Britain, and the fastest-growing bar and restaurant operator”, has cruised across the Atlantic to set up operations in the Heartland of the America. The Columbus brewery is nearing completion and management believes it is a good time to throw a party. On September 24th, BrewDog is throwing an “epic shareholder party.” Now in the UK these Annual General Meetings or AGMs are required. In the US, not so much. But why not? BrewDog has combined presentations and shareholder discussions with great beer and music. Leave the suit and tie at home.
BrewDog explains;
“We are throwing open the doors of our epic American brewhouse for the first in an annual series of epic Equity Punk parties. You’ll be able to see behind the scenes as we begin our adventures in America, and meet the team who will be bringing BrewDog beer to life in the States (as we meet our new neighbours at the same time); on Saturday September 24th James, Martin and the team will be in Columbus and will be revealing our plans for the future of BrewDog USA.”
To prove how welcoming these Scottish folk are, BrewDog is inviting other local brewers to pour their beer too as a “liquid introduction”. Joining in the festivities are; Land Grant Brewing Company, Fat Head’s Brewery, Rhinegeist, Rockmill Brewery, Seventh Son and Stone Brewing Company . BrewDog’s UK investors “got down to some seriously amazing beer and epic music, led by the rocking UK Subs, Frightened Rabbit and Idlewild.” There will definitely be plenty of hot local bands performing. And no worries on interfering with an Ohio State Buckeye’s game – it’s a bye week so expect plenty of OSU’s 50,000 plus students showing up.
