On Wednesday, Broken Lizard, the production studio behind the anticipated comedy Super Troopers 2, announced Hayes MacArthur, Tyler Labine, and Will Sasso has joined the Indiegogo-funded film’s cast. This news comes just days after Rob Lowe and Emmanuelle Chriqui were named as castmates.
While the film’s plot is currently unknown, as noted on IMDb, fans are still gearing up for they believe to be a great follow up to the hilarious police comedy. McArthur is known for his role in the television series Angie Tribeca. Labine’s previous roles include Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Monster University. Sasso is also known for his role in Happy Gilmore, Justified, and Movie 43. They stated they are going to assume the roles of “the mounties.”
The studio revealed:
“It’s Day 11. You might have seen yet another announcement about some more smartasses who have joined our (your) movie – the very funny Hayes MacArthur, Tyler Labine, and Will Sasso. They asked us to write something nice about them, but we already gave them the bigger trailers, so fuck that. In fact, it’s time they did a little work around here, so we’ve asked them to thank some of our you by name.”
