Brief: Kickstarter Launches New Collection of Political Creations Called “Election Issues”

With the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election nearing its final weeks, crowdfunding platform Kickstarter announced the launch of its Election Issues, which is described as a collection of political creations that are to spark conversation and action.

The Kickstarter team stated:

VoteElections aren’t just about the candidates — they’re about developing perspectives and making your voice heard. That’s why now through November 8, we’re releasing interactive issues featuring everything from activity sheets to recipes, digital zines to printable posters, voting toolkits to audio tracks that’ll help you exercise your freedom of expression and engage creatively with the election. Today we published issues from artist and author Adam J. Kurtz, designer and pie chef extraordinaire Stacey Mei Yan Fong, and the game designers behindSpecial Committee.”

Kickstarter added it will release new issues from musician Ted Leo, journalist/filmmaker Assia Bouraoui, game design Mike Slinkier, educator Sheena McFeely, and graphic designer Edith Vaisberg in the coming days. Earlier this month, Kickstarter teamed up with TurboVote to help increase voter participation.
