P2P Lender Tops £200 million in Loans
ThinCats has announced that Damon Walford has been appointed Chief Development Officer. Walford will be working directly with ThinCats CEO John Mould to boost loan originations and increase the network of sponsors in the UK. The announcement comes just as the P2P lender has surpassed £200 million in loan originations.
Walford previously spent four years as Managing Director of Aldermore Invoice Finance, after coming from RBS Invoice Finance, where he managed teams focusing on the asset based lending sector.
Kevin Caley, Chairman and Founder of ThinCats, called the new hire a “fantastic appointment”.
“His experience consulting and working within high-street lenders and challenger banks will be hugely valuable in driving ThinCats forward and enriching our offering for lenders and borrowers,” said Caley.
Walford said he envisioned ThinCats as the “first port of call” for SMEs in need of capital.
“After many years working within more traditional lending environments, it’s hugely exciting to be part of this fast-developing sector.”
