Indiegogo Announces Partnership With Multi-Platform Production Company Warrior Poets

On Thursday, Indiegogo announced it formed a partnership with multi-platform production company, Warrior Poets. The company was founded by American documentary filmmaker, humorist, television producer, screenwriter, and political activist, Morgan Spurlock.

Film CameraThe Indiegogo team stated that with this partnership, Warrior Poets would identify, develop, and produce select documentary films funded through Indiegogo. It was revealed:

We know filmmakers need more than just funding to be successful, and this new partnership helps filmmakers throughout the lifecycle of their projects. For each film selected, Warrior Poets will provide production and post-production services, as well as film festival, financial and distribution strategy and consultation. In addition, they’ll offer backstop distribution through iTunes Movies & Virgil Films, ensuring your film finds an audience regardless of theatrical release. And if all of that isn’t enough, Morgan Spurlock will even serve as Executive Producer on each film!”

The crew then added:

“We know great things happen when smart, creative people collaborate, and we’re excited to connect Indiegogo film campaigners with industry leaders. Morgan Spurlock and the pros at Warrior Poets are top-notch talent. Since 2004, they’ve produced a number of critically acclaimed films, including The Eagle Huntress, currently a ‘Best Documentary’ finalist nominee for the Oscars, the award-winning FX series 30 Days, and CNN’s Morgan Spurlock Inside Man which has been greenlit for a fourth season.”

Indiegogo also reported that the first film supported by the partnership is the feature length documentary We Believe in Dinosaurs, which documents creationists who built a $100 million, 510-foot Noah’s Ark in Kentucky.
