Gotham Ballers, a New York basketball team that is set to be a part of the new Champions Basketball League, has recently launched a StartEngine Reg CF campaign. The team is seeking a minimum of $50,000 (max $1 million) as it prepares to make its court debut in July 2017. Full details of the offering can be found here.
According to the campaign, Champions Basketball League will consist of 16 teams during the summer. All basketball players have recently played for the NBA, and the league will host year-round charity events, camps, and community-based programs in all 50 U.S. states. Teams will come from New York, Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angels, Phoenix, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, and Detroit.
Ticket prices for the league’s basketball games will range from $17.50 to $45. Starting at $25, fans will receive tickets for meet and greets, along with a pregame youth shootaround with the players. There are 14 games per regular season and a league-wide college-style Champions tournament in Las Vegas (championship team will win $1 million). Games will be held in July, August, and September. ESPN will also be the league’s broadcast partner.
Those who invest over $140 towards the campaign will start receiving perks, which includes tickets to games (which can be sold on StubHub), official Gotham Ballers owner certificate, free parking, premium seating, and more. CEO of the Gotham Ballers, Carl George, stated:

George then added that as part of its community outreach, that team has worked with school districts in the Bronx and Manhattan, and we will change lives of kids for the better, on a regular basis. The StartEngine campaign is set to close on March 31st.
