Enclothed, a UK-based online personal styling service for men and Dragon Den alum, recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. The company is currently seeking £350,000 as it prepares for expansion.
The company states it aims to change the shopping landscape for men. It uses algorithms and personal stylists to understand styles, sizes, preferences, and curates outfits from the user’s favorite brands and deliver them to their door.
How it works is simple:
- Create a Profile: Share details about style, size, and preferences
- Chat with a Stylist: Each stylist handpicks outfits from various brands.
- Receive a Box: Once the box arrives at the door, users have a full 5 days to try everything on before they have to send back the items they don’t wish to keep.
Items featured in the box includes shirts, jackets, shoes, and other accessories. Brands featured are Lee, Hackett London, Ted Baker, DL, J Shoes, and Hartford. Prices range from £80 to £120. The company added:
“Queues are long, changing rooms are cramped, the men’s section is always in an ambiguous part of the store and everything looks the same online. We believe that shopping has not evolved for men as it has for women. Enclothed intends to change this. All you do is sign up online and our stylists, driven by data, put together a box of clothes for you, sent to your door to try. Only pay for what you keep. Not only would we love to have you as a customer, we also would like the chance to have you as an investor.”
Since its launch, Enclothed’s Seedrs initiative has successfully secured more than £200,000. It is set to close later this spring.
