Fig Now Offers Slacker Backer Feature

Crowdfunding platform for video games Fig recently announced the launch of its slacker backer feature, which allows users the opportunity to back portal-selected projects that have closed their campaigns.

The funding portal revealed on Facebook last week:

Fig also reported that thanks to the Slacker Backer feature, Kingdoms & Castles exceeded its original funding target. Some Fig users have become slacker backers for the participated games.

Double Fine’s Tim Schafer, inXile’s Brian Fargo, and Obsidian’s Feargus Urquhart teamed up to launch Fig in 2015. The funding portal’s key mission is to bring together fans and investors alike in a system of rewards-based crowdfunding and equity investing. Fig focuses exclusively on games and will only those reviewed and accepted by its board of experts. The platform will have just a few projects running concurrently at any given time.
