JetPack Aviation Completes First Commercial JetPack Sale As StartEngine Crowdfunding Campaign Nears Final Week

JetPack Aviation announced on Wednesday it has completed its first commercial jetpack sale. This news comes just one week before the company’s equity crowdfunding campaign on StartEngine comes to an end.

According to the company, which designs and manufactures small, turbine powered VTOL jetpacks for military, industrial, and individual customers; it is now offering its JB10 duel engine model at the retail price of $250,000. While sharing details about the jetpack sale, JetPack Aviation CEO, David Mayman, stated:

“We believe this sale is the definitive first step on the road to widely accessible Personal Flight Mobility. Whether we are enabling the extraction of Special Forces soldiers, moving emergency medics from hospital to disaster site, or commuters from home to office – JPA is focused on a wide range of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) transportation solutions. Our JB10 is designed to be a proof-of-concept and we are already working on several other long endurance aircraft including fully electric systems.”

JetPack Aviation made its first public demonstration flight around the Statue of Liberty in 2015 with full Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorization. Public flights were also held in London, Monaco, and Los Angeles. Principal Designer Nelson Tyler, added:

“People have dreamed of individual flight for as long as we have looked to the sky. Now, after decades of work and thanks to our extraordinarily talented staff, the dream of personal flight is a solid reality. And it’s available for sale today.”

As previously reported, Jetpack Aviation cites itself as the only company to ever make multiple public demonstrations of a personal jetpack flight vehicle and is now ready to finish the design of the JB10 jetpack, manufacture the jetpacks and ship them to customers around the world. The company stated that with a 10,000 feet maximum altitude and 68 miles per hour forward flight speed, the JB10 can vertically lift a person off the ground from a tiny space and fly for up to 10 minutes.

JetPack Aviation’s StartEngine Campaign is set to close next Friday.
