Assetz Capital Expansion Continues with New Hire for South Wales

Peer-to-peer lender Assetz Capital has appointed former Handelsbanken Branch Manager and Barclays Business Development Director, Mark Standley, to oversee their South Wales operations.

Prior to his roles at Handelsbanken Cardiff and Bridgend, Standley was with Barclays leading a mid and large corporate business development team across South Wales.  Assetz Capital said Standley was well placed to add real value alongside a funding relationship with Assetz Capital.

“At Assetz Capital a key focus for 2017 and beyond revolves around us having a strong Regional Relationship Director network. This allows us to offer truly tailored assistance to any business, no matter where in the UK they operate,” said Stuart Law, CEO of Assetz Capital. “Mark’s experience and knowledge of the South Wales region will allow us to grow our presence in the area and will no doubt contribute to 2017 being our most successful year ever.”

Standley said he fully appreciated the difficulties businesses may face when looking to acquire funding;

“I believe that Assetz Capital is the best placed alternative lender to help.  I have been delighted with the commerciality that I have found within the business, a true ‘can do’ culture which empowers me to make a real difference for business across South Wales.”

Founded in 2013, Assetz Capital states it is now the fifth largest P2P platform in Europe.  Over £108 million was lent to British SMEs in 2016 on Assetz Capital.
