Ravi Menon, Managing Director of MAS, is Re-appointed to the MAS Board of Directors

Ravi Menon, current Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), has been re-appointed to the MAS board of directors. His term on the Board has now been extended to June 1, 2019.

Menon began his career at MAS in 1987. He holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honors) in Economics from the National University of Singapore. He was appointed Managing Director of MAS in 2011. He was previously Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (MTI) and Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Finance (MOF).  Menon has become a highly visible champion of Singapore’s strategy to make Fintech innovation fundamental to the nation’s economy. Many industry followers now view Singapore as challenging the UK for Fintech prominence and influence.
