German real estate crowdfunding platform Sarego that uses platform technology from CrowdDesk, private investors may now invest in the first real estate project on the platform. The project is for the development company Vermehrt GmbH who is crowdfunding one million euros for the energy-efficient renovation and modernization of Gründerzeit-old building in Vienna. It is interesting to note that CrowdDesk not only provides software to white label crowdfunding platforms but the company also operates its own real estate platform;
“We are delighted to have won Sarego as our fifth partner in the field of real estate financing. Behind the platform are experts with years of international experience in real estate development and financing processes open to private investors in the real estate market in Austria, ” said Johannes Laub, CEO of CrowdDesk.
From as little as €100, investors can access Sarego and invest in the project with an estimated return of 6.50% per annum with a term of 15 months.
“Real estate as an investment is a lucrative alternative to the unpredictable stock market. So far, property transactions with interesting yields have been reserved mainly for large investors or connected individuals. Sarego solves this problem and allows private investors in Germany and in a few days in Austria, from just a few hundred euros to invest in high-return real estate projects, says Maximilian Sayn-Wittgenstein, CEO of Sarego GmbH. “Our daily business is benefiting tremendously from the collaboration with CrowdDesk that keeps us free to operate our business.”
The rehabilitiation of the century building is the first project realized the Sarego for Vermehrt GmbH. The previously small and stifling apartments in the building will be merged and equipped with modern sanitary facilities and hardwood floors. This gives rise to five levels compared to 19 to today. Most of the apartments will have exterior facing frontage and four apartments will offer an even better experience. These are so-called duplex apartments, where future residents can enjoy a beautiful view over Vienna from the roof terraces.
Sarego says they have more real estate projects in Austria that are queueing up to list on their platform. There will be projects in Germany, Switzerland and Poland.
“Our real estate projects will benefit from the crowdfunding as an additional instrument to win new investor groups. We are very happy here to be able to contribute our years of experience in real estate development, “adds Florian Polak, Managing Director of Vermehrt GmbH.
