Update: Media Platform For Female-Driven Content Darling Nears Equity Crowdfunding Deadline

Darling Media, a print and digital media platform directed towards female-driven content, is set to close its equity crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo/MicroVentures this upcoming Monday. The initiative was launched in May and quickly secured its minimum funding target.

As previously reported, the content website is dedicated to exploring the complexities of “the art of being a woman.” The publication notably embraces women of different ethnicities and body types, and none of its photographs are retouched to alter faces or bodies. The publication explained. over the past five years, it has attracted a large community of unique, intelligent, and influential women who are seeking to continue to collaborate with the platform with Darling and other female content brands.

Free of shallow or negative messaging, Darling acts as readers’ all-in-one psychologist, best friend, career advisor, personal stylist, and travel agent to redefine female-driven digital, social, and print content. Darling Magazine challenges cultural ideals of beauty and questions its exaggerated importance by using models of all sizes and by becoming the first magazine to not retouch women’s bodies or skin in photos.”

The company also revealed that since its debut it has published 19 issues of its Darling Magazine, which includes digital copies. It also reported that it has built a strong readership base and its print circulation has increased by an average rate of 57% per year from 2012 to 2016. Funds from the Indiegogo/Microventures campaign will be used to continue the expansion of Darling, along with scale its vertical market segments, which includes its platform and social media networks.
