Pump Audio Returns to Seedrs to Raise Additional £100,000 For Club Sound Specific Headphones

Just a little over a year after securing £142,770 through its first equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs, PUMP Audio has returned to the funding platform seeking an additional £100,000.

As previously reported, PUMP Audio has created club sound specific headphones. The company reported that while other brands are seeking to produce what is called “flat frequency response,” it is looking to create new headphones that are more “club worthy,” which will give users a different listening experience.

“As far as we know most of the World’s leading headphone manufacturers (with one notable exception) make headphones with a ‘flat frequency response,’ meaning that they reproduce slavishly the sound that’s fed in to them, giving every frequency exactly the same priority. That can be great for certain genres of music, such as Classical and Rock. But for other genres such as Dance Music, the music sounds much better when listened to with a ‘richer’ or ‘warmer’ sound signature. Headphones that have a flat frequency response can sound just that: flat.”

• 5 earbud sizes: For small or regular/large ear canals. The sizes have been tuned for maximum bass

The company revealed what it has been up to since its first Seedrs campaign closed:

Since our first round of external investment we’ve made huge strides forwards to the point where we are now ready to move from the underground to a major player in the headphone market.”

Funds from the campaign, which has already received nearly £88,000, will be used towards the growth and development of the company. It is set to close later the fall.
