GreenJinn, a cashback smartphone app, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. The company is currently seeking 600,000 as it prepares to expand. The app, which launched in October 2016, notably provides personalized cashback coupons on everyday groceries. GreenJinn’s creators stated that they believe everybody should be able to afford good quality products and nutritious food.
“Within its first year, GreenJinn has already attracted over 40,000 UK shoppers and aims to be the go-to app for saving money on groceries. Currently two of the UK’s biggest supermarkets, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, are featured on the app and the team plans to add one other major UK supermarket chain straight after the crowdfunding campaign.”
GreenJinn CEO Giuseppe Licari commented:

The company also revealed that Guerrino De Luca (former Logitech CEO and SVP Marketing at Apple) and Massimo Di Carlo (former Chairman and Executive Director at Mediobanca International) have contributed to the campaign. Funds from the initiative will be used to add new supermarkets (both offline and online), and more brands and improve the personalization system on the app in order to skyrocket the mobile coupon revolution.
