StartEngine to Host StartEngine ICO 2.0 Summit in Santa Monica in November 2017

Crowdfunding Platform StartEngine announced on Tuesday it is set to hosting the StartEngine ICO 2.0 Summit in Santa Monica on November 10th. According to the funding portal, the event will bring together industry leaders, former SEC attorneys, and companies planning to launch Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) under the JOBS Act regulations. StartEngine revealed:

The StartEngine ICO 2.0 Summit will focus on the second phase of ICOs, bringing them from their current state to an SEC regulated and transparent means of raising capital. In July, the SEC released a memo describing the risks of ICOs, warning that coins and tokens are likely be considered securities. StartEngine is a solution for companies who wish to raise capital via coin offerings but want to remain compliant with federal securities laws while doing so. By launching ICOs through already established crowdfunding regulations, StartEngine aims to make the trade of digital currency safer for both investors and companies.”

Panelists will include Howard Marks, CEO of StartEngine and co-founder of Activision; Sara Hanks, co-founder and CEO of CrowdCheck and a former member of the Securities and Exchange Commission; and Lou Kerner, partner at Flight VC, and a top 10 most influential Bitcoin blogger.
