Indiegogo Success TouchPoint Scores $75,000 in Flash Funding From Arrow

Indiegogo announced on Thursday that TouchPoints, which raised $245,392 on the global crowdfunding platform earlier this summer, has received $75,000 in flash funding from Arrow. TouchPoint is described as a neuroscience wearable that alleviates stress and aids with homework, focus, and sleep. The wearable notably reduces body sensations, shift fight or flight responses, and creates new neural pathways.

“TouchPoints work to reduce your stress using a successful component of PTSD treatment. In a nutshell, TouchPoints use Bi-Lateral Alternating Stimulation Tactile (BLAST) stimulation in the form of a gentle vibration on either side of the body that affects the brain and alters the body’s fight, flight or freeze response.”

The TouchPoints team noted that thousands of TouchPoints original users report a 71% reduction in stress in just 30 seconds. Parents have reported that there are many conditions which have been helped by TouchPoints. Those with Autism share that TouchPoints help with sensory processing disorder by addressing the underlying stress. Individuals with ADHD share that their attention and focus improve significantly and that they find it easier to focus on homework or during school exams with use.” Co-founder of TouchPoints, Vicki Mayo, also shared:

“We created TouchPoint basic in response to feedback from thousands of moms and teachers about what they needed for their kids at home and at school. This was never about money… [money] was never the motivation or the emphasis of creating TouchPoints. ”

TouchPoints is Arrow Certified. It plans to use the $75,000 flash funding to continue to grow its team. Mayo added:

We love the thought that Arrow could come along [during development] and help us look at different sensors.”
