Durable bag accessory brand Jimbag recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube as it prepares to launch its new website. The company stated each of its bags offer style, versatility, and sports functionality. More than 10,000 Jimbags have reportedly been sold in the UK.
“We do not see Jimbag as just a bag, it’s a stylish fashion accessory you can take anywhere and everywhere for the modern man and woman. The playfully bold name and logo directing targets gym goers, but due to the style and versatility of the bags it transcends into all aspects of everyday life. On one hand, you have sports functional bags such as Adidas, Reebok, and Nike that are great for the gym but, in our opinion, don’t look good with stylish or smart outfits. On the other hand, you have expensive high-end bags that you want to use sparingly and wouldn’t be ideal to use daily for the gym. Jimbag aims to bridge the gap and cater all areas. It offers both style and versatility. It’s a bag for all occasions the gym, the pitch, the office, airport, weekend away, city break. You name it. It caters for it, and ensures you look good along the way.”
Jimbag also revealed other achievements:
- Sell in a number of big stockists, most notably Selfridges
- Ongoing talks with buyers at ASOS, Zalando, and House of Fraser to supply in 2018
- Featured in GQ, Heat Magazine, Daily Mail, Metro, The Guardian, and Stylist to name a few
- Recently began wholesaling in Germany, securing c. £18,000 worth of accounts to date with further orders pending.
Besides the new website, funds from the Crowdcube round will be used for trade shows and new product development. Since its launch, the funding round has raised more than £40,000 from over 40 investors. It is set to close at the end of October.
