Rightangled, a UK-based CQC registered healthcare provider for genetic testing, has successfully secured its initial 100,000 equity crowdfunding target less than a week after launching on Crowdcube.
The company stated that its first product, “Heart DNA Test,” is a cardiac genetic test for hereditary conditions, drug response and genetic predisposition to high cholesterol, triglyceride, and other nutrient levels. Rightangled also reported that its service is inclusive of a cardiologist assessment who takes into account the patient’s self-reported medical information. Its online platform has three features:
- Medical consultations via Telemedicine
- Automated interpretation system
- Automated assignment of patients to consultants based on an integrated barcode identification system
Rightangled then stated it will be launching its next product “Fitness DNA Test” in the second quarter of 2018. The product will be more focused on exercise responses, diet and nutrition, and on cardio fitness in general. R&D for this test has already been completed.
Funds from the Crowdcube campaign will be used to continue Rightangled’s expansion. Speaking about the crowdfunding round so far, the company’s CEO and CQC Registered Manager, Abdullah Sabyah, stated:

We are greatly thankful to each one of you, and we are really excited to see as many of you share our passion in taking the healthcare industry to the next level, into the era of personalised medicine. The initiative is set to close at the end of November.
