Indiegogo Funded STEMosaur Scores $125,000 in Flash Funding From Arrow

On Wednesday, Indiegogo announced STEMosaur, a smart toy and learning tool for young entrepreneurs, coders, and engineers, is the latest crowdfunding project to receive flash funding from Arrow as part of the Arrow Certification Program. The project secured $125,000 in the flash funding.

According to Indiegogo, STEMosaur’s story began with CEO and Co-founder of Elemental Path, Donald Coolidge, wanted to make a toy that took advantage of “cutting-edge” voice technology. Speaking of the project, Coolidge stated:

“Kids build a natural relationship with most toys, but STEMosaur goes beyond that. It’s a buddy that teaches math, science, grammar, coding, and much more. Kids are naturally inquisitive. We want to get kids excited about engineering and thinking about how all these components come together and function together. They have to connect the battery pack to the hardware chip and the wires to the LEDs. It takes about 10-12 minutes, and it really adds to the child’s sense of ownership with the dino.”

The flash funding (along with the crowdfunding campaign funds) will go towards helping them create more STEMosaurs. Coolidge added:

“We’ll use the money to iterate the product and provide it to more consumers. We ran a tight ship on STEMosaur and only have a limited number available. This will help us optimize our product, specifically with research and development.”
