On Wednesday, Crowdcube announced it has formed a partnership with Virgin Startup’s new equity crowdfunding accelerator, Crowdboost. According to the funding portal, CrowdBoost is dedicated to entrepreneurs that are looking to raise funds and grow their business through existing communities and crowd.
“It has become clear that equity crowdfunding is one of the best routes for early stage businesses to raise both funds and awareness. What is less clear to many founders is that the process is complex and resource intensive, and this relatively nascent market currently lacks a comprehensive support offering from a provider they can trust. That is where CrowdBoost by Virgin StartUp comes in.”
Crowdcube also noted that CrowdBoost’s seven-week programme provides candidates with step-by-step support to prepare for their equity crowdfunding campaign. This includes everything they need to know, from the all-important pitch to project planning, financial forecasts, valuation, how to source lead investment, constructing pitch decks, campaign design & branding, marketing plans and investor FAQs. Crowdcube went on to add:
“We are fortunate to have TribeFirst, a specialist crowdfunding marketing agency with an 85% success rate to date, facilitating CrowdBoost. We are also proud to be partnered with CrowdCube, who are supporting the programme in numerous ways, including the provision of successful alumni as invaluable speakers and mentors. The programme is further supported by curated experts in design & branding, finance and filming. This, in combination with Virgin StartUp’s in-house expertise which includes entrepreneurs, equity crowdfunding alumni and former private equity professionals, makes a fantastic support network for anyone looking to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign.”
