On Monday, crowdfunding platform CrowdRise announced it has formed a partnership with celebrity video chat platform Greenroom to launch a new football charitable initiative, My Cause My Cleats.
According to the duo, NFL fans who donate on CrowdRise to Philadelphia Eagles’ Carson Wentz’s AO1 Foundation have a chance to win a personal video chat where Carson will sign his custom cleats with a personalized autograph and the winner receives an edited video clip of the chat. Wentz stated:
“I am excited for this opportunity to interact directly with a fan and somebody who supports the AO1 Foundation. I’ll be personalizing and autographing a pair of custom AO1 cleats that I wore pregame in the month of September.”
Dr. Drew Pinsky, co-founder and president of Greenroom, also commented:
“This is a breakthrough for fans and players. Fans get unprecedented personal access and players get an easy new way to raise funds for their cause.”
Phil Eisen from CrowdRise added:
