SnapTrip, a marketplace for people to discover the best last-minute self-catered holiday deals in the UK, has secured its initial £900,000 funding target and is now nearing £1.2 million from nearly 100 investors through its equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs.
Founded in 2014, SnapTrip offers users a way to enjoy a holiday at a reasonable cost. The platform stated:

We appreciate how hard it can be to find the right holiday at the right price so we are committed to offering the best range of properties at the best guaranteed price. Our aim is to make finding the right cottage at the best price as easy for you as possible. We still adhere to the founding principles of our business which allow us to provide a first class service and unbeatable prices to you, the holidaymaker.”
SnapTrip also revealed that is does the following
- Personally selects all properties on its platform
- Offers quality properties at the best price
- Works closely with cottage owners to ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
- Offers instant bookings at discounted prices
SnapTrip then noted:
“At present there is to our knowledge no recognised brand in the self catered sector focused on last minute holidays in the UK, mainland Europe or USA. This is in complete contrast to the hotel sector, where companies like Late Rooms, lastminute.com, Hotel Tonight and Secret Escapes focus on distressed inventory. The self catered holiday sector has similar annual occupancy levels (circa 50%) and yet to our knowledge no brand exists to help managers of holiday rental properties to sell off unsold inventory or for spontaneous, bargain hunting last minute consumers.”
All funds from the Seedrs funding round will be used to continue SnapTrip’s growth and development. It is set to close later this winter.
