The “sexiest App ever” has launched a Reg CF crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo / Microventures. Aptly named Nude, is an App where you can safely stow your naughty photos.
We have all read about, or viewed, naked pictures of celebrities and others that have been stolen from online accounts by hackers. While many people may get a kick out of seeing a celebrity in their birthday suit for individuals that have had their privacy breached, and photos stolen, its a major embarrassment. Nude solves this problem by using AI to detect a potentially compromising photo and automatically storing it in a virtual vault all on your smartphone. The original is scrubbed from your Camera roll and is thus spared the risk of being outed on the cloud.
So how popular is this App? According to the creators, Nude has been downloaded 30,000 times since October 2017. The company reports it has roughly 18,000 users. The service is a paid operation with a yearly subscription costing $9.99.
So what do you get if you invest in the crowdfunding campaign?
Nude is offering a Crowd Safe with a valuation cap of $6 million. This means you believe that Nude, at some point in the future, will be worth more than $6 million. The company also has the option to convert the Crowd SAFE into non voting preferred stock if there is an equity funding round of $1 million or more. Be certain to read the details of what you are getting before you consider investing in Nude. Most SAFEs include a conversion discount. This one does not.
Nude hopes to raise a minimum of $50,000 and a maximum amount of $200,000 under Reg CF crowdfunding rules.
