Regenerys, a UK-based VC-backed firm that has developed a world-leading solution that improves the experience for women undergoing breast reconstruction after breast cancer, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. The company is currently seeking £1 million. Founded in 2011, Regenerys stated it was conceived to develop and market advanced, effective, and safe products and services for use in the clinical management of human tissue.
“We are world leaders in adipose tissue management and work closely with pre-eminent clinicians and under the guidance of some of the UK’s leading plastic surgeons in the development of our technology and management processes. The services and products we provide are built on solid pillars of quality and regulatory compliance. These products and services are provided to the NHS and private healthcare providers.”
The company also revealed that it developed its Adiposet system to reduce downsides and successfully of women having to endure breast reconstruction surgery. It also helps to reduce hospital costs and to safely increase the procedural choices used by doctors.
“Our Adiposet system has already been used in over 100 breast reconstruction procedures at 28 hospitals & clinics in the UK and EU.”
All funds from the Crowdcube will be used for the following:
- £350,000 for sales and marketing build-out (focus on expanded clinical adoption)
- £350,000 for additional employees
- £100,000 for new market evaluation (cosmetic procedures and overseas markets)
- £200,000 as reserve to cover earnings volatility (max) for 12 months
Since its launch, the funding round has secured more than £420,000 from over 150 investors. It is set to close at the beginning of February.
