Radius Bank Seeks to Give Customers Financial Peace of Mind By Launching Card Control App

Radius Bank, a full-service bank serving consumers through its virtual platform, announced on Tuesday the launch of its new card control app, Radius Card. The challenger bank stated the app was developed to allow users to set control preferences and combat fraud directly from their mobile device.

According to Radius Bank, the Radius Card is available for all personal checking account holders to download for free from the App Store and Google Play. The app provides a number of money management benefits, including:

  • On/off switch allows customers to quickly turn off their debit card should it become misplaced and back on again once it has been recovered
  • Location-based restrictions prevent transactions outside a specific area determined by the user
  • Real-time alerts whenever the card is used or when a transaction has been attempted and declined
  • Spending caps and activity limits to help users budget expenses better

While sharing more details about the app, Michael A. Butler, Radius Bank’s President and CEO of Radius Bank, stated:

“We are committed to enhancing user experience across all channels. Radius Card furthers that commitment, serving as an easy-to-use tool that helps clients safeguard their finances. Combined with our leading-edge checking accounts and other technology offerings, we remain confident that we are providing the best experience in the industry.”

Radius EVP of Virtual Banking, Chris Tremont, also commented:

“We’re designing products that simplify our customers’ lives. We’ve all been there — gone to pay for something and when you open your wallet your card isn’t there. Now you can quickly turn the card off without any extra stress or phone calls to the bank. And if you find it back at home, you can turn the card on with a swipe in the app.”

Radius Bank then added Radius Card is the latest addition to its digital banking product suite. Recently, the bank launched its enhanced online account opening platform which allows individuals to open a new checking account in under 5 minutes from any device.
