Equity crowdfunding platform Invesdor announced on Thursday it has teamed up with InvestorConnect to launch a new competition called PitchPerfect. The funding portal describes the competition as a “Dragons Den meets strictly come dancing for a fun and innovative pitching competition.” The event will take place on April 4th in London.
It was revealed that at this event, five entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their businesses in front of a panel of professional investors who will provide valuable feedback and may even invest. The winning pitch will also win a prize.
“This will be an interactive experience where the audience will also have the ability to have their say and learn from the pitchers’ experience.”
Invesdor noted that following the main event all participants will have the opportunity to network with the entrepreneurs and investors. There will be food and drinks, along with the chance to make lots of new connections. The funding portal and InvestorConnect will also be giving out discount vouchers to the InvestorConnected valuation and analytics tool worth £40 to all attendees. Representatives of the following companies will be on the panel:
- Foresight Group: A private equity and VC manager
- RLC Ventures: Early Stage and Seed investors
- North Block Capital: A VC specializing in digital currencies and blockchain
- TechVentures.London: Pre seed and Seed VC
- Albion Capital: High growth investors
