Last week, challenger bank Monzo announced the launch of its new Monzo Web feature, which allows users to access their accounts in the event of an emergency such as wallet has been stolen or a phone has been lost. The bank reported that Monzo Web allows customers to freeze their card and see their latest transactions so that they can get back to normal faster.
Through Monzo Web, users do the following:
- Freeze and defrost card
- See last 50 transactions or up to three months of transactions
Here’s how to gain access:
- Go to web.monzo.com
- Enter the email address linked to Monzo account
- Check email for a magic link to sign in
In regards to its plans of potentially expanding its online services, Monzo added:
“Monzo Web’s been designed to help you out in an emergency, but we still think you’ll get the most out of Monzo from the app. So we’re not planning to build a full version of Monzo for the web just now.”
