On Thursday, equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube released its 2018 second quarter update. Crowdcube revealed that 2018 has been a breakthrough year for its funding portal so far and that it has invested heavily in transforming its technology and processes last year, which has enabled it to scale and been the catalyst for its record-breaking revenue growth.
Crowdcube also revealed that 2018 second quarter has been the strongest quarter in its history. Results of the 2018 second quarter revealed the following:
- £1.46 Million in revenue
- £47.4 million invested into pitches on Crowdcube
- 58 businesses successfully funded
- 9 funded companies in just one week
- 1.4 million website visits
Crowdcube then stated:
“This growth across our key metrics, in particular, revenue has been achieved through efficiency and productivity gains while maintaining our costs. We’re able to do significantly more with the same resources, which is outlined in more detail in our quarterly update. “
