SyndicateRoom’s Fund Twenty8 will Re-Open to Investors

SyndicateRoom, a leading investment crowdfunding platform, has announced its intent to open up their early stage investment fund, Fund Twenty8, to new investors on September 11th. The fund enables individual investors to gain access to EIS investment opportunities (Enterprise Investment Scheme) in a diversified portfolio of early stage firms crowdfunding on the SyndicateRoom platform.

According to SyndicateRoom, their internal algorithm automatically builds a portfolio of a minimum of 28 firms, across a wide range of sectors, targeting a return of approximately 20% IRR. As everyone knows, investing in younger businesses is a risky endeavor. But these same smaller firms can deliver outsized returns if they are successful. By creating a diversified portfolio of early stage firms, investors may mitigate risk and potentially earn above market gains. For investors that do not have a lot of time to diligence a firm, the fund can provide an easier path for a more passive approach to backing these promising young companies.

To date, Fund Twenty8 has raised £7.9 million from 377 investors. SyndicateRoom says they are reopening the fund between the 11th and 25th September 2018 to accommodate investors that missed out on March’s fundraise.

SyndicateRoom has a unique approach to listings on its platform. Each offering receives the backing of a professional investor thus helping to validate the investment opportunity. Importantly, terms are the same between the lead investor and everyone else.
