Wealth Migrate, a real estate crowdfunding platform, has announced it’s intent to move from its South African roots to set up shop in the Capitol of Fintech – London, once all regulatory hurdles are cleared. In a release, Wealth Migrate expressed its opinion that the UK has the most robust and forward-thinking Fintech friendly regulation in the world.
As part of the transition to the UK, Wealth Migrate has kicked off a crowdfunding round on Seedrs – a leading London based crowdfunding platform.
According to the campaign page, Wealth Migrate has already topped its £750,000 initial goal and now stands at just over £1 million pounds. Equity in the company is being raised at a pre-money valuation of £16.9 million. Wealth Migrate first opened up the deal to private investors with the offering now live to anyone. Wealth Migrate would like to raise up to £2 million in total.
Wealth Migrate states that they enable investors to access yields of 7-12% in the US, UK, & Australia. Their global property marketplace allows local and international investors to invest as little as $1000 in property – an amount that is soon to drop to just $100 per investment.
Wealth Migrate CEO and co-founder Scott Picken stated:
“We are extremely excited to be raising with Seedrs to provide a catalytic jump to the next level and allow people, all over the world, to be able to participate in our purposeful journey.”
To date, Wealth Migrate reports that investors have funded $79 million in equity offerings through the platform with members in 118 different countries.
