OurCrowd Portfolio Company C2A Raises $6.5 Million Series A

C2A Security, a tech firm providing in-vehicle solutions preventing cyber attacks, has closed on a $6.5 million Series A round. The round was led by Maniv Mobility and ICV with participation from Labs/02 – part of the OurCrowd platform.

According to a release, C2A has developed a suite of solutions that protect the car’s internal systems against cyber attacks. As the world grows more connected, and self-driving cars become reality, transportation-focused cybersecurity will become a pressing issue.

C2A says it is able to detect and mitigate any type of attack, ranging from autonomous systems hacks to chip-level vulnerabilities. C2A states that it has already integrated a production-ready suite of solutions to leading manufacturers worldwide.

Michael Dick, founder and CEO of C2A, said they were proud to receive the support of prominent investors.

“Maniv’s expertise in Autotech and strong network across the industry coupled with ICV’s rich experience in cybersecurity brings the perfect combination of skills to the table.”

Olaf Sakkers, Partner at Maniv Mobility said they have spent several years closely evaluating the in-vehicle cybersecurity market and their analysis has convinced them that this is the best solution to an acute need that is only going to grow over time.

Dick is the co-founder of NDS which was eventually acquired by Cisco for $5 billion.

OurCrowd Labs/02 is Jerusalem’s seed-stage incubator. The incubator’s core mission is to advance cutting-edge technology that will shape the future in innovative areas including AI, deep learning, autonomous transportation, and smart cities.
